A Muslim refugee family from Burma has been in America only 5 months. Rahman and his wife Zaitun Bi care for their daughter, Noor Aliyah, who is 7 years-old, as well as their 5 year-old niece, Wahida. There is a huge language barrier and Rahman has had complications that render him partially blind in one eye. Rahman has already lost a job due to his health and language deficiency and this has made it hard for him to provide for his family.
CHF’s ministry partners from Legacy Fellowship Church in Albany Park, Illinois, befriended this struggling family. They have been visiting the family at least once per week since August 2015. These volunteers help with the family’s food needs by delivering Food Paks. The family has been extremely grateful for the food and it has opened doors for the church volunteers to establish a deeper relationship with the family. The food provided by Children’s Hunger Fund and the USANA True Health Foundation has been instrumental in helping Rahman’s family in a time of great need.
73,680 meals were distributed in the United States during the fourth quarter of 2015.
Remember, 100 percent of all donations made to the USANA True Health Foundation ALWAYS go toward changing lives across the world.
