Nourishing Hearts and Communities: Stories from World Service Week 2025

Every year, the USANA Foundation’s World Service Week unites Brand Partners and volunteers around the globe in meaningful acts of service.

In 2025, the spirit of giving flourished once again through heartfelt projects focused on nourishing communities—both physically and emotionally. This year, many of these efforts were food-driven, reinforcing our mission to promote health, dignity, and hope.

From feeding children in remote schools to comforting the elderly and supporting families in medical crisis, the stories shared during this week are testaments to the power of kindness in action.

Feeding the Spirit: Food at the Heart of Service

LEUPAPO: Supporting Brave Young Warriors

In Mindanao, Brand Partners continued their years-long partnership with LEUPAPO, a community of young leukemia patients. They provided feeding programs and donated over 400 bottles of USANA Usanimals, giving vital nutritional support to children undergoing treatment far from home. These consistent acts of compassion have made LEUPAPO feel seen, supported, and strengthened.

Meals and Comfort for Children at Bahay Aruga

At Bahay Aruga in Manila, a halfway house for pediatric cancer patients, Brand Partners delivered nutritious meals, Yakult drinks, stuffed toys, and hygiene kits. Volunteers connected deeply with families, offering empathy and prayers, proving that even short visits can make a long-lasting impact.

Nourishment in the Mountains of Cebu

In the highlands of Alegria, Cebu, 60 students at Compostella Elementary School—some walking hours to attend class—received food packs, school supplies, and Usanimals. This act of generosity didn’t just ease hunger; it encouraged young learners to keep pursuing their dreams. Several Brand Partners brought their children along, modeling service for the next generation.

Uplifting the Underserved: School Kits, Seniors, and Second Chances

Tools for Learning in the Islands and Provinces

From Olango Island to communities across the provinces, Brand Partners distributed over 100 school kits to young students in need. The children’s beaming smiles revealed how deeply they valued these essentials, sparking hope and excitement for the school year ahead.

Caring for the Elderly in Canlaon and Davao

Teams also visited senior care facilities, bringing groceries, Cellsentials, and toiletries to elderly residents in Canlaon City and Davao. Their presence and open hearts brought healing conversations, laughter, and a renewed sense of dignity to residents—some of whom had not received visitors in years.

Extending Grace Behind Bars

In one unforgettable outreach, Brand Partners visited Persons Deprived of Liberty, delivering food and words of encouragement. While time and access were limited, the gesture left a powerful imprint of love and inclusion for those often forgotten.

Creative Joy and Health Education

Health, Song, and Surprise Meals in Parañaque

Nearly 40 children gathered in Sucat, Parañaque, for a day of joy: they received school supplies, sang action songs, learned health tips, and were surprised with McDonald’s meals. These small acts made a big difference, reinforcing that health, joy, and purpose can grow side by side.

Heartfelt Visits to Children with Special Needs

Another team visited a center for children with autism, cerebral palsy, and other challenges, bringing educational toys, milk, diapers, and creative time. One Brand Partner recalled how painting with the children opened their heart in unexpected ways, a moment of service that became a moment of personal transformation.

A Walk/Run to Remember

And the annual 5k Walk Run in Canada continued with our incredible Brand Partners who fundraised for sustainable nutrition programs!

Garden Towers and Sustainable Solutions

In Cagayan de Oro, the Foundation supported a household gardening competition in celebration of Nutrition Month. Led by local leaders and supported by the USANA Foundation, this project empowered families to grow their own food sustainably, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to long-term wellness and food security.

A Global Movement of Giving

From city streets to island schools, from care centers to prison cells, World Service Week 2025 proved again that when we serve others, we strengthen communities—and our shared humanity.

As one Brand Partner beautifully said:

“We don’t just promote USANA products.
We deliver a deeper value —
health, love, and opportunity —
to every corner where it’s needed.”

Thank you to every Brand Partner, donor, and volunteer who made this year’s World Service Week a powerful force for good. Together, we are building a healthier world—one act of service at a time.
