Last year, Bebie Atamosa’s husband passed away, and her life drastically changed. She was left to care for herself and her family on her own and was also left with crippling debt from unpaid hospital bills. She had a job as a tailor that kept her busy, but didn’t allow her to adequately provide for her family. Life was extremely difficult. A Helping Hand and Food in Their Bellies

Meet Anielyn, a wife and mother who lives in the Philippines. Life has been extremely difficult for her lately. Her husband has been searching to find work, but without success. As a result, their children (ages 8, 5, and 4) have not been able to get enough food. Worry over providing for them is unbearable and has caused stress for the whole family.  One day, Anielyn visited the local church desperate for help. Expanding Our Reach

Choosing new partners and expanding the reach of the True Health Foundation is one of our key priorities. Many times it’s a struggle to find the most effective and efficient partners that can help us make the greatest impact. The following is an email report we received from our staff in the Philippines. Meet the Navaja family from the Philippines

For the past three months, our volunteers in Cebu City in the Philippines have been serving a 15-year-old boy, named Harvey Navaja, and his family. Harvey has four siblings: Harold who is 17 years old, Hanes who is 12 years old, Henry who is 6, and Harley who is just 4 years old. Their parents, Edgar and Christina, are expecting their sixth child. Our volunteers first met Harvey when a team was teaching in the public school he attended. Phase 2- Empowering the Children, Philippines

  Remember that one time we shared a post about a great program we were working on in the Philippines?! Ok, ok- if you don’t remember, you can read about it here. Now, remember how we mentioned that we were hoping to expand that program? Great news! Drumroll please………! September 24th is the official start of a similar, but even bigger program in the Philippines! This time, we will be serving 7 different schools. 50 students will be picked from each of these schools to be a part of this program- making that a total of 350 students.
