Expanding Our Reach

Choosing new partners and expanding the reach of the True Health Foundation is one of our key priorities. Many times it’s a struggle to find the most effective and efficient partners that can help us make the greatest impact. The following is an email report we received from our staff in the Philippines. Meet the Navaja family from the Philippines

For the past three months, our volunteers in Cebu City in the Philippines have been serving a 15-year-old boy, named Harvey Navaja, and his family. Harvey has four siblings: Harold who is 17 years old, Hanes who is 12 years old, Henry who is 6, and Harley who is just 4 years old. Their parents, Edgar and Christina, are expecting their sixth child. Our volunteers first met Harvey when a team was teaching in the public school he attended. Phase 2- Empowering the Children, Philippines

  Remember that one time we shared a post about a great program we were working on in the Philippines?! Ok, ok- if you don’t remember, you can read about it here. Now, remember how we mentioned that we were hoping to expand that program? Great news! Drumroll please………! September 24th is the official start of a similar, but even bigger program in the Philippines! This time, we will be serving 7 different schools. 50 students will be picked from each of these schools to be a part of this program- making that a total of 350 students. Spotlight Guys! Could these little faces get any cuter?! I am so obsessed with all the innocence, beauty and colors in this picture! Like, I totally wanna bring all these kids home and just love them- but I am sure their parents wouldn’t appreciate that, hahaha. Today in our spotlight is our Kid’s Summer Camp in Masville Village Paranque, Philippines. The camp holds 18 girls and 13 boys between the ages of 5-12.
