A gleam of hope as aid gets to Kasai, DRC Congo

People of Kasai, Democratic Republic of Congo can breathe a sigh of relief, thanks to our partnership with World Vision and the World Food Programme (WFP). Through this partnership, we are providing food to ease their hunger problems triggered by violent conflicts. When the war broke out in August 2016, the inhabitants of Kasai, who are predominantly farmers, fled their homes and abandoned their farm lands. Meet Dah, John and David

Dah Moo moved to Australia four years ago after living in a refugee camp for years. She wanted to give her sons the best chance at a better future, yet there was barely enough to pay the rent and bills- let alone fund their education and provide them with the right kinds of support in their transition. She reached out to our partner, The Smith Family, who then connected them with some of the services that the Foundation provides funding for.
