When the well runs dry- THF to the rescue

7 years of drought. 1,2,3,4,5,6, 7….. and counting. Can you imagine that? No rain, at all- nothing more than an a tease of a drizzle every couple of months. Now picture this, living in a remote village in Mexico that last experienced rain 7 years ago. All the wells in your village start to run dry because the water is that low- and the little water left tastes awful because of the concentration of minerals at the bottom of the well. Because water has become so rare, your village stops growing its own food, making fruit and fresh vegetables a rarity that would draw a crowd upon its  ...

THF in Thailand

Mr. Witboon has been serving families in northern Thailand with Food Paks for three years. Once out of depression, the families he served in the beginning were able to find work and become more Financially stable.   The Food Paks they received lessened the immediate burden of providing for their hungry families, enabling them to pay for their children’s education. Those initial families have now become participants in the Food Pak program, helping to deliver Food Paks to others in need. They now serve others in their community with the same help they received. Mr. Witboon has seen 40  ...

Olga is a working mom, who strives every day to provide for her family.  Her husband, Alexander, also works hard at home, to take care of their son, Vladik.  Vladik is handicapped, but it wasn’t always that way. Despite the type, I love the unique sound of each artist’s voice and the power, poise, presence, and unmistakable message that backs each song. Each song tells a story, reminding us of a profound moment or memory and I’d like to share one with you. Vicente Guerrero, Mexico November 27th, 2016 was the day I embarked on a journey that would completely alter my understanding of poverty. I had seen poverty, but never to  ...

STARTING THEM YOUNG

Meet our youngest donor yet- Eva! At only 10 years old, Eva is rocking the boat with her donating game! I mean we all probably attended a Halloween party or two, but how many of us can say that we raised enough money to provide 848 meals for people in need internationally while we were at it? Probably not many of us, but Eva sure can!  Last Halloween, she hosted a special party, where she requested that her friends bring donations. In exchange, she created goody bags  and baked sugarless blood cookies which she gave to her guests. Once she collected these donations, Eva chose to give them  ...
