STARTING THEM YOUNG

Meet our youngest donor yet- Eva! At only 10 years old, Eva is rocking the boat with her donating game! I mean we all probably attended a Halloween party or two, but how many of us can say that we raised enough money to provide 848 meals for people in need internationally while we were at it? Probably not many of us, but Eva sure can!  Last Halloween, she hosted a special party, where she requested that her friends bring donations. In exchange, she created goody bags  and baked sugarless blood cookies which she gave to her guests. Once she collected these donations, Eva chose to give them  ...

National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week

Did you know? 1 in 8 people worldwide don’t get enough food to eat? Think about it- there are 7.4 billion people in the world. That means that 842,000,000 people are either getting very little or nothing at all to eat- every single day. To put that in perspective, the number of hungry people in the world exceeds the populations of the U.S., Canada and the European Union combined. World hunger Hunger does not refer to missing a meal or two. It is a debilitating crisis that is affecting every corner of the globe. It is, hand in hand with malnutrition, in fact, the number one health risk and  ...

Conquering Kilimanjaro for THF

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world. By free-standing, I mean it is not part of a mountain range. The summit on Mount Kilimanjaro is called Uhuru Peak and stands at 5,895m or 19,341 feet. To put this in perspective, Mount Everest, stands at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) – just over 2,950 meters higher. What could be a more perfect challenge for USANA Associate, Danny Fontaine, who was inspired to raise money for the Foundation by inviting his friends to join him on a life changing expedition? In Danny’s words “When my friend  ...
